How the Process Works

The process begins with an initial consultation. Tell us about your property, the available roof space and what you would like to create.

You can send us photographs, drawings or existing plans to help our technical team understand the project and assess the initial possibilities.

Bespoke Manufacture

The main BalcoDeck® components are manufactured specifically for your project.

Preparing the system before it reaches the property helps create a more organised installation process and ensures that the structure is designed around the confirmed site measurements.

Roof and Site Assessment

We assess the roof area, access, dimensions, drainage points, existing waterproofing and any features that the new terrace will need to work around.

A site survey and structural assessment may also be required to confirm that the property is suitable for the proposed BalcoDeck® system.

Base Structure Installation

The BalcoDeck® profiles are positioned over the finished roof surface without drilling through the waterproof membrane.

The supporting structure is assembled and levelled to accommodate the roof’s falls and create a stable base for the decking and balustrade.

Project Proposal

Once the main project details have been confirmed, we provide a tailored proposal outlining the recommended design, selected finishes and installation requirements.

Because every roof terrace is different, the final cost depends on factors such as the size and shape of the area, roof access, structural requirements, decking choice and balustrade configuration.

Decking and Balustrade

The balustrade posts are connected to the BalcoDeck® supporting structure before the selected decking boards are installed.

The remaining balustrade components, handrails and safety glass are then fitted to complete the terrace.
